I am MagicBrad, Founder of Magic Universe (and President of SAM Assembly 12, in Minneapolis, Minnesota) and I have been obsessed with the psychology, wonder, and business of magic since I was four years old. I am currently working on an exciting passion project to help MAGIC and reignite to restore the respect that I believe it deserves.

But working on this alone gets lonely, like an echo chamber and I need collaboration, motivation and inspiration. I want to bring the right minds together. I am looking for exactly 100 Founding Members & Advisors—a mix of active and savvy magicians and creative magical thinkers—to step backstage, collaborate, and help shape this universe from the ground up.

WHAT is the vision?

Magic Universe is a Passion Project. It’s a hybrid eco-system: It’s Your, My, Our and The Magic Universe. It’s a collaborative process. It’s a co-op. It’s a community. It’s a place (on-line and in-person) where the magic community and those interested in the magical arts, can hangout, collaborate and share. It is starting here in Minneapolis Minnesota, however the plan is to stay simple so it’s easier to expand the Universe into other geographic areas.

WHO is this for?

Magic Universe is for MAGICAL THINKERS: Magicians, Illusionists, Perceptionists, Designers, Builders, Lecturers, Collectors, Historians and others that have an interest, intrigue, passion or love for the magical arts. Our Magic Universe is dynamic and a work in progress and you can be involved in the manifestation.

We’re Building This Together

Below are some conceptual elements of our project to be manifested.

• The LiveStream VIDEO SHOWS “Green Room” Backstage Pass: Get the exclusive StreamYard link to hang out with me and expert guests for a casual, unedited conversation about magic and our community. (Magic Universe Livestream)
• Magic Universe “Brick-n-Mortar” Studio Shows: Our future vision is to establish a simple format to host in-person events in other cities with a Host, Co-Host and Special Guest appearances and a studio audience. (Think “Tonight Show” with Johnny Carson and Ed McMahon).
• More Restaurant Magic: We already know that table-side magical entertainment at restaurants can help increase patronage of the establishment. In addition, adding a savvy marketing strategy can help the restaurant owner and the magical performer as well. Restaurants are a great place to showcase your talents to Event Planners. Let’s share our marketing secrets with each other and the Restaurant Owners as well.
• MagiCruise: Experience magic aboard our seasonal cruises on the Mississippi River, Lake Minnetonka and the St. Croix River. These cruises are open to the public and professional magical entertainers are hidden within the crowds. (If ya know, ya know and if ya don’t — you will!) This activity is designed to be affordable and “turn-key” to initiate and produce. We already have relationships with the cruise companies here in the Twin Cities, and this concept is easily applicable in other regions as well.
• The Minnesota Magic Festival: A weeklong “fringe festival” of public magical performances and experiences with a weekend (magicians only) Magic Convention. (MinnesotaMagicFestival.com)
• The Clubhouse Creative Venture: Participate in real-world progress with the Minneapolis Magic (coffee shop) Clubhouse venue design and advise on layout concepts, design mood boards, performances and marketing ideas. • The “Twin Cities & Beyond” Network: Secure your seat at our informal local forums, hangouts and coffee meetups (on-line and in-person) to swap business and marketing tips, build connections, and serve as the core advisory network as we expand into other states.
• Marketing and Promotion for YOU: Want help with YOUR business goals and objectives? My background is in Entertainment and Event Marketing. Corporate Events, Fairs, Festivals, Tradeshows etc. I’ll share my knowledge and resources with you. (MagicBradMarketing.com)
• Profit Sharing $$$ Option: For the entrepreneurs, we have a profit sharing option to earn income as Our Magic Universe grows.
