Minneapolis-born magician and comedian Derek Hughes is returning to Chicago for a special limited engagement at The Magic Parlour, April 15 through April 25, 2027.

Derek Hughes has built a career around what he calls Stand Up Magic — combining the laughs and personality of a stand-up comedian with the mystery and deception of a professional magician.

Derek Hughes has deep connections to the Minneapolis comedy and magic community. He is a University of Minnesota alumnus, and his hometown performances at ACME Comedy Company have made him a familiar face to Twin Cities audiences.
