One moment the coin rested openly in his palm. The next, it was gone. He opened both hands slowly, shrugged, and grinned. Then, with a flourish, he produced it from behind my ear.
That single moment—the French drop performed with casual perfection—lit a fire that has never gone out. What started as pure childhood wonder quickly grew into a lifelong fascination with coin magic, card magic, and the beautiful art of illusion.
I begged for more. Coins began disappearing and reappearing in every possible way. Playing cards soon followed: the classic ambitious card, the mind-bending oil-and-water, the impossible color-changing decks. Every new sleight felt like unlocking a secret language.
